SPRING 2021 - THE ONLY SURE THINGS

As I was conceptualizing for this collection, an old phrase kept coming to mind: “The only sure thing in life is death.”

It’s a sobering fact that has been forced into my world quite recently. On October 1st, 2020, my 19 year old brother passed away from an accidental overdose. I now find myself and my family in a category that we would never want to be in - processing and healing through something of nightmares. You want things to feel normal again but you don’t want your reality to be the new normal. You don’t want to get used to it and you don’t want to live with it.

So this collection is about coming to terms with loss but it’s mostly about soldiering on and the search for other sure things. Birth, growth, life, renewal, release, forgiveness, and strength.
